We look to how God rested from His work as an example of how we may imitate Him and rest from our work once a week.

Genesis 2:1-3
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

“In every way be an example of doing good deeds. When you teach, do it with honesty and seriousness. Speak the truth so that you cannot be criticized. Then those who are against you will be ashamed because there is nothing bad to say about us.”

Let's Pray
• Pray that every leader and disciple would live in a way that would be
a good model for other disciples. Ask that their focus always be
on Christ, not on methods, materials, policies, organizations or the
opinions of other people.

• Father, we ask that Azerbaijanis wouldn't overwork themselves to exhaustion to get ahead in the rat race, but they would learn to rest (believers and non-believers, so that they can taste and see the goodness of what God's life has to offer, and not get tricked by the deceiftulness of riches and the worries of this world.
• Jesus, teach the Azerbaijani church how to live your rhythms of life, the ones that are easy and light, so that the unreached and the lost would thirst for the life of a folllower of Jesus.
• Holy Spirit, cause a deep hunger within Azerbaijan for rest, for people who search out for true rest for their souls and would they be lead to Jesus as the giver of that kind of rest.
