Prayer Fuel

As we have begun a new year, we reflect on the creation of the world and how God brought light into the darkness.

Genesis 1:3-5
John 1:1–5
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Let's Pray
• Pray for movement catalysts and leaders to clearly share Kingdom vision and to model Kingdom life.
• Ask that everyone in movements love God and others, worship in Spirit and truth, and share the Good News with those who have not yet heard.
• Father, cause Azerbaijanis to get up and shine, as your light comes upon them, and your glory shines on them. Darkness now covers the earth; deep darkness covers her people. But come, Lord, and shine on Azerbaijanis, and let them see your glory.
• Jesus, may all Azerbaijanis come to your light; and their leaders to the brightness of your sunrise. May they look around and see people gathering and coming to you: their sons coming from far away, and their daughters coming with them.
•Holy Spirit, may they see all these signs and shine with happiness; be excited and full of joy.
