Lord, cause Azerbaijanis to get up and shine, as your light comes upon them, and your glory shines on them. Darkness now covers the earth; deep darkness covers her people. But come, Lord, and shine on Azerbaijanis, and let them see your glory. May all Azerbaijanis come to your light; and their leaders to the brightness of your sunrise. May they look around and see people gathering and coming to you: their sons coming from far away, and their daughters coming with them. May they see this and shine with happiness; be excited and full of joy.
