For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of all our ancestors—who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. He has given each of us various relationships and opportunities to make disciples among our relatives, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and others we interact with in our daily lives. When every disciple understands their role as a disciple maker the light shines, more people hear the good news, more people enter the kingdom, and in turn are equipped to make disciples in their circles of influence.

ReadDisciplemaking Principle: Model To Reproduce In movements, it's crucial to keep things simple so they can be reproduced by all disciples and churches. However, merely telling people isn't adequate. For example in the first several chapters of Luke, Jesus modeled proclaiming the kingdom, healing the sick, and casting out demons. Then in Luke 9 and 10, he sent his disciples out to do the same! Disciple makers must model with the goal of reproducing so that new disciples and churches can be fully trained and equipped and so this healthy DNA can be passed along to each spiritual generation.

In 2 Corinthians 9:6 we are reminded that "whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." When disciples serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities they demonstrate the Father's unconditional love which many people have never felt before.

For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father."
