The Abaza People

Let's pray specifically for one of the unreached people groups living in Türkiye today.

1 Chronicles 29:11

"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things."

The Abaza People

The Abaza are a small Muslim people group in Türkiye of 14,000 people. Many of them live along the Black Sea in north-central Türkiye, and others are found in different parts of the country. The Abaza people have often assimilated into Turkish culture, while retaining their own language. Their language is one of the most complex languages on earth and has more than 50 consonants, with numerous pronunciations for each one. Because of the difficulty of their own language, the Abazas are adept at learning other languages.

Prayer Point:

Lord, you deserve to be worshipped and praised by every person who has ever lived and this includes this small people group! We ask that you will open the eyes of the Abaza so they may see your greatness, power, glory, victory, and majesty. Connect every Abaza with your disciple makers so every person may learn about your wonderful kingdom. We ask that you will honor and glorify your name among them this year. May this be a year of breakthrough for your kingdom among the Abaza people! Fill their hearts with joy when they learn that your rule over all and that you are calling them to yourself.
