"…until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit."
"Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ."
Lord, we ask that your Spirit give guidance to those with the apostolic gifting in Istanbul, as you did when your church was being born. Equip the Turkish people to work with prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger. We pray that you strengthen those with these gifts and give them boldness to offer their wisdom to the rest of the church body, so that all may grow in your giftings. Bless your disciples in Istanbul with courage today to pray for the lost and their needs. Show yourself through miracles and wonders so that all may know you, Lord Jesus.
