We often have beliefs about our rights and we fight to hold on to them. When we surrender our privileges to the Lord, we deliberately empty ourselves. Then we experience greater freedom to follow his leading and there is greater space in our hearts to be filled with his Holy Spirit.
"Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross."
"Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness"
Jesus, you didn't deserve to be a slave. You had the right to enjoy all your divine privileges. Thank you for giving those up and choosing to be a slave and be born as a human. Help your church in Turkey follow your example and empty themselves so they can be filled with the Holy Spirit like you were. We're so thankful that your humble obedience brought us into your family. We pray for your disciples in Turkey to be full of the Holy Spirit just like Jesus. Open their eyes to what you want them to give up so more of your Spirit can fill them. Thank you that one day you will receive all the glory and honour you deserve! Guide and empower your servants by the Holy Spirit so each one can partner with you in hurrying up the day when every knee bows before you.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
