“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden."
The Yoruks live in the mountains of southern Turkey. The primary language of the Yoruk is Balkan Gagauz Turkish. There are currently only Bible Recordings available in this language. The Yoruk have retained their ancient skills in weaving wool into carpets and colorful clothing. Only about one quarter of their children attend school. As a result, only a small percentage of the Yoruk can read and write.
Lord, thank you that this good news of the kingdom is for the Yoruk people. Send more of your children to them to demonstrate your love and invite the Yoruk to discover you. May your children be like a city on a hill and be clearly visible, not hidden. We ask for the full Bible to be translated into their language and to be available in a form they can use. Give your children courage to invite the Yoruk to listen and read your word. Spirit, open their hearts and minds to you. We ask for all Yoruk believers to be unified with love for you and for one another. We ask that this love will compel them to not hide your light but clearly shine for you.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
