Disciple-Making Principle: Pursue Unity Among Believers

We may all come from different religious or denominationial backgrounds, but we can all agree that the way Jesus made disciples would be the best way to do it! Church planting movements are not merely isolated instances of growth; they represent profound shifts in the way Christianity spreads and transforms societies.

The command to love the Lord your God and love others as yourself is of upmost importance in disciple making movements. Building authentic, trusting relationships and collaborative networks among believers fosters support, encouragement, and the expansion of the movement. Strong relational networks have played a vital role in helping believers navigate the challenges of persecution, share resources, and stand firm in their faith. The unity and solidarity among believers in movements have been instrumental in their ability to withstand persecution and continue growing as a movement. Small groups, mentorship relationships, and communal learning environments have played a pivotal role in nurturing new believers and equipping them to become agents of change within their families and neighborhoods, ultimately leading to the multiplication of churches. The power of personal relationships working in unity strengthens the movement and enables it to reach even the most remote corners of the region. Disciple Making Movements recognize that the Gospel is not merely about individual salvation but also about transforming communities and societies. 

Prayer Point:

We pray that disciples, movement leaders and the global body of Christ will walk in love and unity as we seek to fulfill Matthew 24:14. Jesus we ask that you strengthen the believers with each networked church here in Turkey. Teach them to lean on one another and trust one another as they move forward in their relationship with you, God, and with each other. You tell us that you desire unity in your church body, so I pray against anyone who would come in with gossip. slander, or confusion. We pray against individual or communal betrayal in the DMM churches in Turkey. We ask that you use their relationships with one another to better coach and mentor each other. Ultimately we pray for the multiplication of healthy churches all across Turkey!
