*The video linked here is NOT a prayer video, but does contain great pictures and experiences of the local atmosphere to be prayed for. We are NOT advertising for this tourism video, only allowing you a chance to see the people and places of Karachi.
Karachi, the country’s largest city, is a populous multiethnic commercial and industrial hub. Pakistan has historically and culturally been associated with its neighbors Iran, Afghanistan, and India. Since gaining independence in 1947, Pakistan has struggled to attain political stability and sustained social development.
The country is estimated to be the home of 4 million orphaned children and as many as 3.5 million Afghan refugees. Jesus followers in Karachi are often severely persecuted, and since conversations between the Pakistani government and prominent terrorists groups dissolved in 2021, there has been a sharp increase of attacks on Jesus followers.
The time is now for the Bride of Christ to stand with the church in Pakistan, and to pray for the advancement of the gospel in every unreached tribe in Karachi. Some key people groups include but are not limited to the Southern Punjabi, the Southern Pashtun, the Bhil, the Eastern Baloch, and the Western Baloch.
Use these resources to help pray specifically each day.
Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
