Let's broaden our global perspective and pray for Kathmandu, India today!

Nepal is a country in South Asia that lies along the southern slopes of the Himalayan mountain ranges. Kathmandu is the nation's capital. Nepal is a landlocked country wedged between two geopolitical giants, seeking to keep a balance between the two countries in its foreign policy—and thus to remain independent. As a result of its years of geographic and political isolation, Nepal is one of the world's least developed nations. 

Additionally, Nepal is a young country, with more than three-fifths of the population under 30 years of age. These factors provide the church in Nepal with an opportunity to raise up a generation of Jesus followers in Kathmandu that are sent out into the many unreached tribes throughout the countryside.

Prayer Point:

  • Pray for the spread of the Gospel and for multiplying house churches among the Chhetri, Bhotia, Awadhi, and Kumaoni people.

  • Pray for the advancement of God's Kingdom throughout the 103 languages of this city.

  • Pray for a mighty movement of prayer to be birthed in Kathmandu that multiplies throughout the country.

  • Pray for followers of Jesus to walk in the power of the Spirit.

  • Pray for a resurrection of God's divine purpose for this city.
