You Scatter Your People

Acts 8:1b, 4

"…Now on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were forced to scatter throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria…Now those who had been forced to scatter went around proclaiming the good news of the word." 

Prayer Point:

Lord, you scattered your people on purpose, using the persecution of the Church do it, but in pushing your followers to the ends of the earth they began proclaiming your message to places they had yet to go. Use the scattering of your disciples in Turkey to bring the gospel message to more places than your disciples have gone so far. Your ways are good and your path is straight, help the Turkmen discipiles in Istanbul trust you as your move them around the city and country. Jesus, start more discovery groups in new places. Give access to new communities through finding people who are welcoming and open their oikos while listening to the message of Jesus. Like in Luke 10, remind your disciples to pray for the sick and cast our demons in your name as they enter new places. Shine your light in dark places, Lord.
