Train and Release

Disciple Making Principle: Train and Release

Thriving Movements have a few common characteristics, one of which is the on-going, "on time" training and coaching of their disciples

In every community where Discovery Groups and Churches have started there is training avaible for those who desire to see more happen in their area. Some trainings are just a few hours long, while others may last a weekend or a full week. But all trainings are "right on time" for what those disciple makers need. On-going coaching is also a necessary tool disciple makers utilize to help them move forward in reaching all nations, peoples, tribes and languages. And as disciples are trained they are released to go do and use what they have learned from the word. Letting go of control and trusting the Lord to work is key in seeing a successful movement occur.

Prayer Point:

We pray that movement leaders from surrounding movements will send more trained disciples into new areas of Istanbul and beyond. We ask the Lord of the Havest to prepare hearts to hear and receieve your good news. As new disciples are made in Istanbul, Lord, help your church to train and send them out well. May your disciple makers be diligent in coaching and training all disciples to obey your word. Help the leaders here to release control over your sent out ones. May these ones be blessed to go make more disciples themselves. We pray that people from "hot-coal" movements will network and collaborate together as we all seek to see movement happen in Istanbul. Let it be said, Jesus, that one day Turkiye will be called a nation with many thriving disciple making movements.

Understand the Urgency

February 4, 2025

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.

Rejoice and Sing!

February 3, 2025

Psalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you;     they will sing your praises,     shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done,     what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea,     and his people went across on foot.     There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever.     He watches every movement of the nations;     let no rebel rise in defiance."
