Kanpur is the capital city of the Uttar Pradesh state in northern India. The metropolis is the second-most populous city in the state and is an important road, rail, and industrial hub. India's government is a constitutional republic representing a highly diverse population with thousands of ethnic groups, hundreds of languages, and a complex caste system. Because of this diversity and socio-economic divide across the country many people are at odds with each other. The church in India is growing quickly and new disciples are being trained every day to go out among the lost – their goal is to reach ALL of India, not just Some. Kanpur is a strategic city that the movement leaders in India have identified as a place where many ethnicities come together for work, travel, education and better life opporutunities, but many are still very attached to their village homeland. The church leaders believe that if the lost are reached in Kanpur they will be able to take the gospel further and more effectively back into their hometowns.
Pray for the launch of many community centers which will focus on planting church by taking care of women, "street kids," and the poor and destitute of the city. Pray for the leaders to have courage, wisdom, and supernatural protection.
Pray for a mighty movement of prayer to be birthed in Kanpur that multiplies throughout the country.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
