Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan, is a large communications hub in Northeastern Africa. Prior to 2011, Sudan was the largest country in Africa. After decades of civil war, the country signed an agreement to become two countries by becoming Sudan and South Sudan, this effectively separated the predominantly Christian south from the Muslim north (that had been motioning for an Islamic state since the ‘60s).
However, in 2023 another war began in Sudan between rival factions vying for power. During this devastating war, Khartoum itself has been a battlefield and throughout the country over 10 million people have been displaced. The nation is on the verge of the world's worst famine in the last 40 years. Yet the Lord is moving and working in the midst of all this. Sudan is a ripe harvest field, home to hundreds of unreached people groups. Now is a perfect time to stand in intercession with our brothers and sisters laboring for this city.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
