"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
In Turkish folklore, the Laz had a reputation for plundering, piracy, and kidnapping. Today, however, this indigenous people group are respected as industrious, educated, adventurous, and trustworthy people. Centuries ago, many Laz converted to Christianity. When the Ottomans conquered Turkey in the fifteenth century most Laz became Sunni Muslims. Today, many Laz in Turkey are known for their traditionally conservative Islam.
Thank you, God, that in your love and mercy you are working everything for the good of the Laz people who love you. Thank you that no matter how bad their circumstances, you can transform them for the benefit of your children. Call more Laz to join you in your purposes for Turkey. I pray for every disciple maker among the Laz to persevere and learn from mistakes as they sow seeds and disciple new followers. I pray for grace to not get discouraged by mistakes but to trust that the Lord is working all these things together for good.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.

For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
