Don't Be Selfish

Philippians 2:3-4

"Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too."

Prayer Point:

Father, we recognize that humility is incredibly important to you. Yet it is so difficult for us! Help us in our weakness, remind us of Jesus' example of humility. We pray especially for your disciples among the Syrian Arabs in Diyarbakir. We pray that you will set each one free from the slavery of selfishness and replace that with great contentment in knowing who they are as your beloved. Transform relationships as you grow your children in humility. We pray that out of their counter cultural humility you will reveal your kingdom in a greater way to the lost and broken in Diyarbakir. Lord, we ask for your disciple makers here to be known as those who give honor to others. Thank you that as your children are delivered from seeking their own interests they will have the freedom to care for the needs of others. We pray that through the humility of your servants you will move in power and start thousands of Christ-exalting multiplying churches through all the peoples of Diyarbakir.
