God, Our Good Shepherd

Psalm 23: 1-6

"The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever."

Prayer Point:

Lord, you know us and our needs so well! Wherever you lead us as we obey the Great Commission (and, in some cases, leave behind our family and friends) we praise you that as our Good Shepherd you give us everything we need. I pray for every follower of you in Turkey, especially those that are Turkish speaking Kurds, renew their strength and guide them along your paths so they may bring honor and glory to your name. Prepare those feasts for your children in Diyarbakir even while they're in the presence of their enemies. Teach your children to faithfully testify of you with love so that even their enemies may come to know you as the good shepherd you are. Thank you for being with us even in the darkest valleys. Our trust and hope are in you, Lord!

Understand the Urgency

February 4, 2025

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.

Rejoice and Sing!

February 3, 2025

Psalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you;     they will sing your praises,     shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done,     what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea,     and his people went across on foot.     There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever.     He watches every movement of the nations;     let no rebel rise in defiance."
