"Then the father realized that that was the very time Jesus had told him, 'Your son will live.' And he and his entire household believed in Jesus."
Today the Kumyk people are primarily located along the northwestern coast of the Caspian Sea, however they speak a Turkic language and have a small population in Turkey. Historically, they are a proud people, respected in Dagestan for their literary, artistic, and economic accomplishments. In 2007, the New Testament was published in the Kumyk language, and now Genesis, Psalms and Proverbs have also been completed. Kumyk believers risk rejection by their families, as well as a threat to their livelihood. The Kumyk need openness to the love, peace, and joy of the gospel of Jesus.
Jesus, we thank you that though the Kumyk in Turkey are few in number, they are not overlooked by you. Do not let their pride blind them to their need for your salvation. Thank you for blessing them with the New Testament, Genesis, Psalms, and Proverbs. We ask for every Kumyk to have the opportunity to read and hear your word. As your word goes forth among them, we ask for many healings like you did for the official's son in John 4. Through these healings and other miracles draw whole households to yourself so they may stand firm together in the midst of persecution and suffering. Do not let them be overcome, but enable them to overcome by your grace.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
