Disciples who are trying to multiply disciples to start movements can expect persecution, spiritual warfare, and suffering. At first, the persecution is likely to come from the existing church Body unfortunately. Later, when the disciple-making groups start to multiply rapidly and thousands are coming to faith, it is diļ¬cult not to be noticed. That is when external persecution is likely. Disciples may be targeted by authorities, called in for questioning, deported, or worse.
Pray for persecuted disciples to patiently endure suffering and opposition. Pray that all disciples would be well trained to face persecution so that no matter what trials or losses they face, they will continue faithfully in the task. Pray for the local Body to support disciple making brothers and sisters, not persecute them. Ask that every disciple would look to Jesus as their model in suffering and be encouraged. May they always see Him as worthy of paying a high price. Ask that the Lord would redeem persecution for His glory and the rapid spread of His kingdom.

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
