"Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, and everyone in his household believed in the Lord. Many others in Corinth also heard Paul, became believers, and were baptized."
The Karakalpaks live primarily in northwestern Uzbekistan, but 84,000 have migrated to Turkey in recent years. The Karakalpaks in Turkey are generally poor and unemployment is high, but people do what they can to make a living, working on their vegetable plots and gardens, fishing, selling at markets, raising livestock, doing casual or seasonal jobs, etc. Large families are the ideal, and the nuclear family is composed of as many as four generations in the same household. The Karakalpaks believe that families who share meals together will stay close. The Karakalpak people are noted for their participation in the Sufi sect of Islam. Some Sufi Muslims are known for practicing self-hypnosis which is induced by frenzied dancing and chanting. Very few have heard the gospel.
Jesus, we see how you wanted whole households to come to you together. Praise God for the Karakalpak people who value family and desire to stay close together. Lord, we see the advantage of this and how the gospel can impact many at one time. We pray for the gospel to multiply from family to family, and from generation to generation. We pray for them to turn away froom their evil practices and repent, turning towards you, Jesus. Let us see many churches planted among the Karakalpak people this year!

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.
ReadPsalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance."
