Disciplemaking Principle: Multiply New Disciples and Churches

Movements around the world measure their effectiveness by measuring how many healthy new disciples are making more healthy new disciples, and how many healthy churches are reproducing new healthy churches. Multiplication is instilled as DNA from the very first discovery bible study. Members are asked to obey the word and share the story they just learned with someone who needs to hear it. They are then taught that when they find an interested seeker they should encourage them to start their own discovery group. In this way discovery groups, and eventually churches, are multiplied quickly and effectively. 

Matthew 28:18-20

"Jesus came and told his disciples, 'I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.'"

Prayer Point:

Lord, we pray for the training and coaching needed for new Syrian Arab disciples and churches to reproduce quickly. We ask that they would obey Your Word and share what they are learning with everyone around them. Help each discovery group member to quickly implement what they are learning. Transform their lives as they read and obey your word, Lord. We ask for more and more Syrian Arab discovery groups to start this month in Istanbul. Guide your disciple makers to those eager to hear the good news and respond.
