Disciplemaking Principle: Go Slow to Go Fast

In disciple making we want to focus on the foundations first; building character qualities and healthy DNA that will result in great depth and fruit. Movements often say "Focus on a few to win many." Jesus focused on the 12 disciples and mentored them for 3 years, and from them the church grew quickly. It takes time to develop healthy disciples worth multiplying, but when they do multiply they will produce healthy generational churches that are self sustaining and reproducing. Go slow now, in order to see the gospel spread faster and farther later.

2 Timothy 2:2

"You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others."

Prayer Point:

Lord we pray for those seeking breakthroughs in Turkey to remain committed to the practices and principles of starting movements. We ask that your disciple makers in Turkey not become discouraged as they wait for the Holy Spirit to move in unreached peoples and places. Strengthen their resolve to dig in deep and invest in disciple making relationships that can prove difficult at the time, but worth the time, energy and tears to see generational growth here in Turkey. This land is dry and parched, in need of your refreshing living water, Jesus. Bring life into the church here and let us see unstoppable mulitiplication among every people group in Turkey. Jesus help your people teach your truths to others who will pass them on to still more people. Bring your Kingdom, God!
