Access Bi-Vocational Ministry

Disciplemaking Principle: Access Bi-Vocational Ministry

The strategy of reaching a community begins with building relationships.

Without the trust of a community, it’s unlikely that there would be much opportunity for further Kingdom work. That’s why, as we consider the concept of “access ministry”, we see so much opportunity to reach communities effectively. It begins by meeting a practical need.

If a community is in need of a teacher, a doctor, a resource of some kind, etc., it’s most helpful to be able to meet that need with the intent of building relationships with the people. This approach gives us access to communities. It gives opportunities to engage with people on a regular basis and build trust. Once trust is built, we are well on our way to the next steps we must take in building God’s Kingdom, bringing hope to each new people group we have the privilege of knowing.

Prayer Point:

Lord, give disciples in the unreached areas of Istanbul creative ideas for making money to provide for their families, while also giving them opportunity to meet new people and schedule flexibility to continue making disciples. Reveal needs of these new communities to your disciples through words of knowledge, dreams, and your very word. Send out more workers into your harvest fields because they are white for harvest, ready to be picked! Jesus, Turks are a nortoriously hard of heart, it has been difficult for believers of Jesus to gain access to their communities. Open up Islamic stronghold areas of Istanbul – open the way for them, make straight their paths. Give believers favor with local leaders to be welcomed into the darkest Islamic communities in Istanbul and for their voices to be heard as they preach the Gospel of Jesus!

Understand the Urgency

February 4, 2025

Disciplemaking Principle: Understand the Urgency of the Task Jesus tells his disciples that we will not know the hour in which he will return, but that we should always be ready. Disciple Making Movements focus on the urgency of the task at hand - all peoples, nations, tribes and languages hearing the good news of Christ.

Rejoice and Sing!

February 3, 2025

Psalm 66:4-7 "Everything on earth will worship you;     they will sing your praises,     shouting your name in glorious songs. Come and see what our God has done,     what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea,     and his people went across on foot.     There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever.     He watches every movement of the nations;     let no rebel rise in defiance."
