Muslims do not believe in the divinity of Jesus but in the Quran, Jesus is called the "Word of God".
John 1 shares about the Word of God, the Word through whom all things were created, the Word who is God and the Word who became flesh to live among us.
Let's pray today that Muslims would seek to understand Jesus as the Word, that they would be interested to read John 1 and the rest of the Injil (Gospels) that they also believe to be Jesus' books. Pray that their understanding of Jesus will be transformed.
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance” (1 Cor 13:4-7).
Intercede that a spirit of love would transform communities. Pray for the grace of transformation as communities begin to relate in Kingdom ways. Ask for one of the descriptions of love (above) to be released over Karachi and especially into new groups among emerging church streams.
