Muslims state this declaration of faith 5 times a day during their daily prayer rituals and it is the basis of their beliefs, being monotheistic and following after their prophet's teachings.. There is a high veneration for Muhammad.
In Pakistan there is a blasphemy law which specifically includes defaming the prophet Muhammad. The penalty for blasphemy is death. Pray that believers may be "shrewd as snakes and innocent as doves" to love those around them that they would be willing to share their faith no matter what the cost.
